Prof. Dr. Ömer Miraç Yaman

Ömer Miraç Yaman was born in Istanbul. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Sociology at Istanbul University in 2003, his master’s degree from the Department of Sociology at Selçuk University in 2007, and his PhD from the Department of Sociology at Sakarya University in 2012.

He is a professor in the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul University. His research focuses on youth, substance addiction, family and social exclusion. He is the author and editor of numerous books, including Apaçi Gençlik, and of more than a hundred journal articles and book chapters.
